Welcome to Katie and Matt do Canada!
This will be the place we share our experience moving from Halifax to Calgary.
Today is Canada Day 2010 and we have four weeks to pack up our life, find someone to move our stuff, find somewhere to live and cart ourselves (and our cat) about 5,000 kilometres to our new home.
For the next three weeks or so, you can expect to see posts that are mainly related to our packing and planning adventures. Week four will find us en route, posting wherever we find free web access. After our trip, it’s possible we’ll continue to post, so our friends and family can stay up to date on our complete assimilation into the Cowboy Culture (Katie is going to get a pink cowboy hat as soon as we arrive!)
Thanks for stopping by. Hopefully this blog entertains you and keeps you updated on our travels.
Love,
k&m
PS: For those of you who are less geeky than Matt (so 95% of the readership), it is customary that the first program that you write in any new programming language displays the words “Hello World!”. Matt felt that would also be a good title for the first post of this blog. As mentioned previously, he’s pretty geeky!
